Man Suffers Fractures To Face In Assault At Busy Intersection In Bridgeport

A man suffered fractures to his face in an alleged assault at a busy intersection in Bridgeport.

Bridgeport police detectives wish to speak to anyone with information of an alleged assault on April 24 in which a man was injured that occurred near the corner of Park Avenue and State Street.

The male victim was assaulted with an unknown object at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 and sustained several fractures to his face and head, according to the City of Bridgeport Public Information Officer Terron Jones.

The incident took place near the corner of Park Avenue and State Street, Jones said.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition, said Jones.

Bridgeport police detectives want to speak with anyone who may have information about the incident and ask they call 203-576-8477.
